FAQs
“Do you only work with paper?”
Actually, no! While my preferred medium is paper, I have experience in textiles, yarn, crepe/tissue, and found objects. I’m always up for a challenge, so hit me up with your ideas.
“How much lead time do you require?”
Look, the longer the better, truly! While I am quite used to some really short turnarounds, it is always much better to have more time to nut out the brief, assess options, and have a little time up my sleeve to source some extra special materials. It also depends on my workload at any given time, but I will always respond quickly to let you know either way.
“How much do you charge?”
How long is a piece of string? No, really, how long do you want that piece of string, what do you want it made of, and how complex is the design? There are a lot of factors that go into pricing so send an enquiry and we can chat about your specific project. If you have an idea of budget, that can be helpful to start with - if your idea is much larger than your pockets I can talk through some options upfront that may work within your budget.
“Do you only do jobs in Melbourne?”
I am Melbourne-based, however much of my work can be sent interstate if you have the means to style/install yourself.
“I have some ideas … are you able to bring them to life?”
Yes! While I can offer options and propose concepts, many clients come to me with a very clear vision. We sign off on a few details and then I get to work - and I’ll keep you updated with progress shots to make sure it’s on track and exactly how you envisioned.
“Is everything handmade?”
Most of my paper work is hand-cut with a scalpel, rotary cutter or scissors. I use a Silhouette Cameo for repetitive items (such as petals or leaves) or small lettering. Everything is constructed by hand, by me!
